Hi, I'm Suzy, 33, Wife, Aunt.
I am having a nephrectomy on December 1st at MCV hospital in Richmond, VA.
It is my right kidney and I have renal cell carcinoma, in other words, kidney cancer.
I am having an open radical nephrectomy.
There are large risks of side effects due to the surgery, my weight, being diabetic, etc.
Here is an entry about the major risks.
My tumor was found incidentally while having a CT scan done for cellulitis of the abdomen.
