Staging.... |
I have a lot to talk about but it is late and I refuse to miss a day, so let's get on with the first piece of good news in forever.
Today I went to my kidney doctor. He took out some of the staples (yay, as it is a bit more comfortable.) And, we got the pathology report. My tumor was definitely renal cell carcinoma, and was at stage T1b, which means, stage 1. Stage one means we caught it early, it was still within the kidney, and I do not need further surgery. This is the first good news we have had since this all began.
Also, I am healing well, no sign of infection. I am moving about great for someone with an incision the size of what I have (I thought I looked funny as I'm curved like I wrote about yesterday) Dr. Berry said that is perfectly normal.
So, yes, I have/had renal cell carcinoma but, if you have to have it stage 1 is where you want it found and removed.
Does this mean I can change my title on the cancer forums to survivor? |

I don't comment often, but I'm always reading. This is the best news you could get. I'm so relieved for you.
